Established in 1933
The mid-sized family company in 4th generation CHR. BOCK & SOHN is the world’s leading manufacturer of packaging machines for margarine, butter, edible fats and comparable products since more than 90 years.
1933 – 1st generation
CHR. BOCK & SOHN was established on 5th of May in 1933 by Christian Bock and his son Alfred. In the years before Christian Bock worked in the dairy sector where he made a name for himself as an expert in the margarine industry and became a renowned personality.
1952 – 2nd Generation
When Christian Bock died in 1952, the second generation took over the company. His son Alfred Bock was now the sole owner of CHR. BOCK & SOHN and he, together with his wife Hedwig Bock continued to successfully manage and develop the company.
In the course of the next few years CHR. BOCK & SOHN designed and built fully automated packaging machines which allowed the customers to significantly increase their capacities. The progress in building innovative packaging machines went hand in hand with the continuous development of CHR. BOCK & SOHN.
1970 – 3rd Generation
In 1957 Alfred Bock’s daughter, Ingrid Bock (later Drinkuth), also joined the family company.
In 1970 Alfred Bock died at the age of only 62. At this time, his son in law - Wolfgang Drinkuth - had already been working at CHR BOCK & SOHN for more than 10 years. In 1970 he, representing the third generation, took over the company management. With his experience and commitment, the continued existence of the family company was ensured.
During the forty years he had been working for the company, Wolfgang Drinkuth established CHR. BOCK & SOHN as the world’s leading manufacturer of packaging machines for margarine, butter, edible fats and other similar products. Wolfgang Drinkuth died shortly after retiring in 2003.
2000 – 4th Generation
In July 2000 – with the handing over of the company to his descendants Susanne Drinkuth-Koch, Michael Drinkuth and Stephan Drinkuth – the fourth generation took over responsibility for the future development of CHR. BOCK & SOHN.
